Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for their client located in San Jose, CA. This full-time, on-site position requires a passionate individual to lead and enhance all environmental, health, and safety programs. The EHS Manager will play a crucial role in regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic initiatives, ensuring a safe and high-performance workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance interactions.
- Promote and maintain a safe workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Lead and deliver safety knowledge-sharing initiatives and training programs.
- Provide EHS oversight for materials handling, equipment installation, and facility operations.
- Maintain close engagement with operational areas to proactively identify and resolve safety-sensitive issues.
- Drive strict adherence to EHS action plans, corrective actions, and compliance initiatives.
- Manage safety meetings, program reviews, and communication cadence to ensure continual awareness and alignment.
- Develop, implement, and improve EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Conduct and oversee safety and compliance training across the organization.
- Provide expert guidance on fire protection, emergency response, and general safety issues.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and other relevant standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; science or engineering discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs, including project leadership and department- or function-level oversight.
- Experience supporting or evaluating acquisitions, including risk and liability assessments, is preferred.
- EHS-related certifications, licenses, or professional association memberships desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate system requirements clearly.
- Proven ability to follow through, manage schedules, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Additional Details
Salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 per year.
